8.26.22 | Clearing on the Wild has begun. The day started with the dozer literally bulldozing its way down the 30 ft wide by 480 ft long electrical easement. It is amazing what that piece of machinery can destroy in its path.

One of the things that I love so much about this land is the rocks. However, the guy in the dozer seems to think otherwise! The thing is, that one rock might be somewhat small and barely sticking out of the ground…but when the dozer grabs it, it pulls out boulders. Here is a video of the dozer working over some of those rocks.
Here is the size of the rocks that they are digging up. SO MANY ROCKS!!!
In the video below, we are walking the electrical easement toward the shop from the main road that you see in the pic. The end of the video shows the shop area cleared.

That was A LOT of moving earth! So much accomplishment on Day One of our improvements to our Wild Mountain. Tomorrow, we are so looking forward to the Ridge Line clearing to open up the incredible bluff views. Our ridge runs south through west to end up on the north side of the property.
To end the day, the night sky out here is INCREDIBLE! The stars shine bright and the Milky Way was on glorious display. Admittedly, I enhanced the below photos to show the Milky Way a little better.

The first night that we arrived, which was Thursday night around midnight, we pulled up to a herd of Auodad-like 7 of them. They were like “oh crap! What’s that?” and were completely confused on which way to run away from the alien lights.
Second thing I noticed was how beautiful the stars were. I stepped out of the car and noticed the Milky Way right away.
It. Was. Amazing!
…yes, I am in awe of His creation everyday.
So happy to see the progress! You are so fortunate to have found this beautiful piece of property. I can’t wait to visit with my monocular, telescope and of course paint!
